I hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day Holiday Weekend! It is monday and I am exhausted,ha. I also took two benedryl last night and am so droggy today because of it. My allergies have been going crazy and to help me sleep last night I took the benedryl, but can't function today because of it. Oh well, gives me an excuse to be lazy.
My husband and I have never been to the Greek Festival in the short north of Columbus and we ended up going this weekend. One of Tom's buddies from work goes every year and kept telling us about it and we finally went this year. It was fun! We tried different kinds of Greek food and it was really good. Everyone talks about the baklava and I did not like it. Tom did, but I was not impressed at all. I am not a fan of the Greek desserts. We also checked out the North Market there and it reminded us of the Continent when it was open. Wow, that brings back memories of growing up. We spent alot of time at the Continent on weekends growing up. We want to go back so that we can spend more time in the North Market. We did not get to spend much time there because of going over to the Greek Festival. We will be back for sure!
We toured an amazing church at the Greek Festival. It was so beautiful!! I can't even start to explain the dome ceiling inside this church! It was millions of tiny pieces of mosaic art and it was gorgious! It took two years to build the church. I am going to hopefully post pictures of the church dome on my facebook page. If I can figure out how to get them off my cell phone. I will have to ask Angie (a friend) because she does it all the time.
We also went to the flea market in our town at the fairgrounds early in the morning before going to the Greek Festival. It had been awhile since we had been there. I bought a Fisher Price house for the babysitting kids to play with. When I got it home, I saw that it was cracked on one side with the plastic coming off. Oh Well, I only paid $3.00 for it,ha. I will have to tape up the one side with packing tape or something. It should be ok. If not, I will have to throw it away I guess. I also bought a Noah's Ark set for the kids to play with for $2.00. I got a paper weight for my desk that is cool looking, it reminds me of those lava lamp designs on the inside of the paper weight. My cousin Brittany had made a bunch of heating pad things with field corn on the inside and you heat in the microwave for a heating pad. She was selling those for only a $1.00 and I bought one from her. I tried it last night in the microwave and it is awesome! It works great!
We wanted to go to the flea market in another town nearby, but the rain on monday stopped those plans. We ended up just staying at home doing stuff around the house that needed done. We put our new doorbell (on the outside of door) up after being broke forever. We fixed some spots on our walls that got banged up. We set my new moniter up on my desk for my computer. I did laundry. We will probably go out to eat later. That is about it. It was nice just to stay home today and relax mostly and spend time with my hubby.
Hope you all had a great weekend. Back to work Tuesday. The weekend flew by as always!
Talk to you all soon,

Hocking Hills Vacation
August 3-7 my husband and I finally got away for a week. It was way over due!! We had not been on a vacation in 5 years or so. It was so nice to get that time together. We went to the Hocking Hills. We rented a cabin for two days called the "Timber Ridge." Then we had to switch cabins and went for 3 days to the "Pioneer." They were basically the same design except the "Pioneer" had a balcony/deck and a much better view! We also took our dog with us. He loved it. He didn't know what to think at first, but then he went on trails with us and walked around the cabins and smelled all these different smells and he was in heaven marking his spots everywhere he could,ha.
The first cabin we stayed at the guests started a tradition in the cabin. There was a treasure hunt for all the guests. You had to see if you could find items that were hidden by past guests and then you had to leave your own items to find for the next guests. You left the ones you found in place also. It was a neat idea I thought. It drove me crazy though because I only found three items on the list. The first thing I found was a postage stamp. It was taped up under the mantle of the fireplace. The second item I found was a wrapped toothpick hidden under a fake plant on a dresser. The third item I found was a fanged-shaped rock hidden on top of a wooden thing on the wall that had wooden hooks like to hang up your robe in the bedroom. The guests before us also hid a white button, a happy birthday sticker and jack of diamonds playing card. We could not find those and it drove us nuts! It made me wonder if the housekeeper finds these items and throws them away. If you read the book in the cabin though it has been going on for a long time (years) and everyone tells what they find in the treasure hunt, so that told me the items do not get removed from the housekeeper.
We had a hot tub at both the cabins and it was so relaxing. I was so impressed with how clean everything was there. They had a guy come out everyday in the morning to get the trash, clean the charcoal out for you and clean the hot tub. They said they make sure the hot tubs are tip top clean everyday! And the cabins were the most clean I have ever stayed in a cabin. Well, it was more like log homes then a cabin, but they call them cabins. I never once saw a spider or any outdoor little creatures you might expect to see in a cabin when you are staying there. My dog slipped and fell on the wooden floors I don't know how many times because they were so shiney, polished looking and very clean! It was impressive. We stayed at the Smokey Mountains cabins one time and they were not near as clean as these cabins were in the Hocking Hills.
We had lots of cookouts on the charcoal grill. We didn't eat out but twice. It was nice. I forgot what charcoal grilling food tastes like. It was so good. I told Tom I would like to have a little charcoal grill now,ha. We are so use to the gas grills and completely forgot the taste of how charcoal is.
We also would have our fires in our firepits at night and roast marshmellows and one night we had smores. On the grill we would have hot dogs or brats. One night we had a steak and grilled shrimp and it was really good. I made BLT's for breakfast one morning. The only down fall was having to do your own dishes BY HAND,ha. No dishwasher in these cabins!
We mostly just relaxed while we were there. We didn't do much on the trails. We did go to Ash Cave. That is one of our favorite spots on the trails to go. It is also mostly flat and it was easier for our dog to go. He loved it. We did alot of sight seeing. Just driving around. We saw alot of deer of course also. We went to the beach in Logan. It was nice. Hardly anyone there. We also went to the Dur Dutchman there one afternoon and then over next door to feed goats and reindeer. You could see these animals out our window as we were eating at the Dur Dutchman and I just had to go over and see them. All the reindeer were white and some of them had huge racks on them. They all seemed really friendly. There was a put-put golf course next to that. Then we went over to this amish store and picked up some cheese. There was an antique mall also, but I hate those things and Tom wouldn't go in by himself. ha.
When we stayed at the "Pioneer" there were wild turkeys that just wandered around. The desk told us when we checked in that sometimes you will see them, but mostly you just hear them. We kept throwing food out in the yard hoping to get a glimpse of them, but they never showed their faces. We heard them though. We also heard a rooster late in the day, but never early morning. It was funny. It was like the rooster had its time all messed up. It was just so peaceful back in the woods. Not a sound of anything but NATURE. It is highly recommended to go here if you want to relax and get some peace and quiet.
We would love to keep going back every year and stay in a different cabin each time. There is alot to do around there if you want to be on the go more. There were ATV's to ride, horseback riding, of course all the trails (Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Conkles Hollow, etc), there was zip lines you could go do, I mean we had all kinds of pamlettes that had all these different things you could do there that I was not even aware of. We went to this place called Lake Hope and they had this hummingbird place that you could feed the hummingbirds right out of your hands! I wanted to do that, but it was not open when we went. It was only open like three days a week and you could only feed the hummingbirds from 1-3 PM. It was quite a drive so we did not go back.
Like I said, we mostly just wanted to stay around the cabin and relax and that is what we did. Next trip, we want to do more trails. We have done them before, but way back when we first met.
So, that was our vacation pretty much. We enjoyed ourselves and want to return for sure. Talk to you all soon.

Our day at the Zoo
On Thursday July 2nd my babysitting kids and I end up going to the zoo. I am scared to go because of Toms leg, but he is working and I said "ok" I will go, but for Tom to call me if he is feeling worse. I am just really worried about him (read post below this one to understand).
So, I end up taking the kids to the zoo. Penelope, Sammi, Erin and I. It was in the 70's that day and I thought I better go while it is cool out. I don't handle heat well and will not go out in the heat all day for nothing. It is not worth it with my hives. So anyway, we get there and it was raining a little when we first got there, but cleared up nicely for the day. The first thing the girls wanted to do is to see the baby elephant. They have been there before and from what I understand from the girls is they have never seen the baby elephant. They were excited that they finally got to see the baby elephant (which is named BECO). We stood in line for 50 minutes to see the baby elephant!!! Crazy!! But it was worth the look on the kids face.
We then went on to see all the animals in the "North America" and "Asian Quest" sections of the zoo (that is just ONE section of the zoo). It took us from 10:30 AM to 3:15 PM to see that! We have to go back to see the rest. They want to ride the rides so bad at "Jacks Landing" and I told them that I would let them one day just ride rides and we would not do nothing else but to ride the rides. They were excited and wanted to go today! I don't have them today though because of the holiday.
I had not been to the zoo in a really LONG time and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Sammi loves tigers and she saw a tiger up close and just the look on her face! It was worth the whole day just to look at the faces of the girls. I think how much fun Faith would have had. When you do things like the zoo I just think how much more fun it is when a child is there to enjoy it with you. I don't know how to explain it, it just makes it more worthwhile and enjoyable looking at things through a childs eyes.
We saw all the animals out today since it was so cool outside. All the animals were out and moving around and active. It was the most fun I had at the zoo any time that I ever had been to the zoo because it was so cool out and the animals were actually out and about. We saw a Rhino, Both the mommy and baby elephant, three big brown bears, a black bear, a sun bear, reindeer, pronghorns, a bison, swans, ducks, bobcats, tigers, cranes, a red panda (which was gorgious), the pheasants, timber wolves, prairie dogs, moose, a puma, the bald eagles, and the songbird aviary. Usually when you go to the zoo, you might see only half (if that) out to actually see the animals and this time all of them were out. We ran out of time so we missed the lions in that section so we will have to see them at another time.
We also rode the train. I don't think Penelope had ever been on the train and she waved her hands the whole time and made these loud screaming sounds, and just laughed and smiled the whole time. She loved it! She held out her hands and made like crying sounds when we got off the train, she wanted to go back on!
I also let Sammi and Erin ride the pony. Erin's pony was named Domino and Sammi's pony was named Socks. Sammi got off and said to me (in this cute little way) that her pony had to stop and pee. She thought that was neat! ha.
All the girls were out like a light on the way home from the zoo. I got out of the car and was so sore. That was the most I walked in a long time,ha. The girls had swimming lessons that same night, so I hope they made it. They were so tired!
That was our day at the zoo. Very enjoyable. If you haven't been there in awhile I suggest going. It was alot of fun and they have alot of new stuff since I have been there. Jennifer and Dusty put me on their pass to the zoo and so I get in free with the kids. That makes it nice. We packed our lunches, but I didn't bring drinks and about died when 4 drinks was $11.00 dollars! That is where they (the zoo) makes their money!
Have a great 4th of July holiday weekend everyone!

illness
Wow, it has been a month since I have been on here.
Well, to start for two weeks I was sick. My throat swelled up really bad and I could not swallow for over a week. It was the worst pain I ever felt with my throat like that. I finally went to the doctor and she thought it might be strep, but that test came back negative. Then she tested me for mono and that test came back negative as well. She took blood from me to test some things that I have no idea what she was testing and those came back negative. They took a x-ray of my throat and found it was very swollen with little space to swallow and she wanted to put me in the hospital, but she ended up giving me two antibiotic shots in my hips and a steriod shot (for the swelling in throat) in my hip as well. She also sent me home with 3 bottles of liquid antibiotics to take. I was not getting better, and ended up at the doctors after that day to day for more steriod shots for my throat swelling. She kept saying maybe she should put me in the hospital, but she never did. I hate hospitals since my experience with my daughter Faith, so that was a relief. So anyways, I finally started feeling better and my doctor never did figure out what was wrong with me. My tonsils were swollen worse then they ever have been and they were really red, so maybe it was just a case of tonsilitis. Who knows! It was terrible though and I never want to have that again!
Now, my husband gets sick. He gets a really bad fever and his throat hurts and I think he is getting whatever it was that I had. Well, it ended up being something far worse. His leg started getting really red below his knee and it felt like it was on fire. He went to the doctor and it is a terrible infection in his leg that if not treated could result in amputation of his leg. He is a diabetic and he got this infection through a crack in his heel of his foot, it traveled up his leg and the doctor said if Tom would have waited a day or two more he would have been in the hospital in bad shape. His leg looks horrible! With him being diabetic he needs to take care of his feet. His feet are in bad shape as well. Any opening cut or crack in his feet can cause terrible infections the doctor said. He had this same infection ( I believe he called it celulitis ) when we came home from the hospital after Faith died, but it was in his hand. His hand swelled up bigger then I thought a hand could swell and it was really red and hot to the touch the same as his leg now. They treated his hand in the hospital and made a big deal out of it as well and said he could loose his hand. I never heard of these infections. So, he has to be very careful. The antibiotics are just now starting to work it seems. His leg is not hot to the touch now (which the doctor said is the infection that is hot feeling) and it is starting to look a little brown and not as red, but his leg still looks horrible. It has these red patches everywhere from his knee down and just terrible looking is the only way I can explain it. I pray he is on his way to getting better and it will heal completely. Please pray with me. I worry about his health so much to the point it makes me sick.
The past month we have been dealing with these sicknesses and hope it is behind us soon. The 4th of July holiday is this weekend and we hope to enjoy it. We wish you all a happy and safe holiday as well.

Babysitting
I love having a day off through the week. It usually is on Wednesdays. Gives me time to catch up on things around the house because I don't like to do it on the weekends. I also like to use my day off to just be lazy and do nothing at all (which is what I decided to do today,ha).
One of my babysitting kids birthday is today. Penelope Rose (I call her Penni) is ONE YEAR old today. I can't believe how fast they grow. She is not walking yet, but we are practicing alot. I think kids just do things on their own time, when they are ready and not when we are ready for them to do things. That is my experience anyway from babysitting. I had one boy that was terrible to potty train. We didn't think he would EVER get potty trained. Then one day, he just decided he was going to do it and he did it from that day on. Little burger. ha.
I know the parents get worried if their kids are not doing stuff by a certain time. I don't remember it being like that when I was a kid. Shoot, I stuttered up to the third grade and I drank a bottle up to 5 years old. I turned out fine (some may say otherwise,ha). I just think the teachers (no offense Angie,ha) and doctors expect too much too soon from the kids today. I think they just need to learn at their own pace. That is my opinion though. I know times have changed alot since I was a kid.
I hope you all have a great summer. It will go by fast so enjoy it!
My dog is barking to go potty. See ya later gators.

Memorial Holiday Weekend
I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend. It was just beautiful. We could not have asked for better weather that is for sure.
It seems like most people will either do yardwork, camping, or a family barbeque on the Memorial weekend holiday. Tom and I did lots and lots of yardwork. I planted tons of flowers and it looks so good. We also finally finished our bed on the side of our house. We now have a beautiful tree outside our kitchen window to look at. What a difference landscaping makes! We have lived in our home for 5 1/2 years now and we are just now getting our landscaping done how we want it to look. You have to take it slow doing these things because landscaping is so expensive. Buying flowers is one thing, but you start buying bushes and trees that is another thing. We did end up getting a flowering dogwood tree for only $110.00 and if you have ever looked at tree prices ( for a nice size tree ) it is crazy priced! So we were happy to get this tree and it is medium sized so we are satisfied with it.
It was such a blessing to have my husband off with me for three whole days! He never takes days off and for him to take three days off in a row was wonderful! I even had him planting pots of flowers with me over the weekend! He said he actually enjoyed it. That is my favorite part of planting. I set up a banquet table (those long white tables) and I get my pots out and plant a mix of flowers in each pot. I also do my own hanging baskets and pots for the graves for my dad and my daughter. They turned out really well. Tom and I took them over to the graves on Monday (Memorial Day). I could not believe how many people were over at the graves planting flowers. It was packed with people. You could tell everyone had been at the graves planting because everything looked so beautiful and colorful.
I ended up having an extra day off on Tuesday and was glad because I was exhausted from the weekend. The work was well worth it though. It feels so good to just sit back and enjoy it.
I would love to hear what you all did this holiday weekend. Make comments to let me know or email me.

Baseball and growing up too fast
Baseball is here! I love going to my nephews baseball games. He lives about an hour away and it is hard to always make it to them, but when I do, I enjoy them. They had a night game last night and they WON! 11-4. I was proud of him. He played out field and short stop. When playing short stop the ball bounced and hit him right in the mouth. He was okay though. I just cringed when it happened because he has braces and I thought his braces might have knocked loose as hard as the ball hit him. It didn't happen like that and he just had some bleeding and that was it, no swelling or nothing. I was shocked with the ball hitting so hard. He is one tough 13 year old! He is the smallest boy on the team also. He takes after his mom, who is very skinny and short.
I went over to their house after the game to visit a little bit. We hardly get time together since we live about an hour away from one another and with working and my sister has days off through the week, it is just crazy.
I swear my nephew has grown much taller just since Christmas when I saw him! They grow up so fast. My niece is 17 and graduating next year. It is so hard to believe. She was coming home from a christian music concert at midnight last night. She is such a wonderful girl. If I ever had a daughter or son, I would want them to turn out like my niece and nephew. My sister has done such a great job raising her kids. When my niece walked in the door I hugged her and she told me all about the concert. She also told me she drove alot of her friends home since she is the only one that has a car right now,ha. While talking to her I am rubbing my nephews legs for him and he fell asleep,ha. I just am sitting there on the couch and can't believe how they have grown. I got tears in my eyes on the way home. Boy, I am getting so old,ha. I would do anything to live closer to them. There are no real good jobs where they live and my husband doesn't want to have to drive a long distance to work.
My mom was at the game last night also. It was great to see her as well. I forgot to give her a card for Mother's Day and just gave it to her last night with some scratch offs in the card. She loves those. I am not sure how much she won, because she did not scratch them off last night during the game. She had to work today (Sunday) so she left to go home after the game. She is going to call to tell me what she won. They are fun to scratch off.
I am enjoying this beautiful spring weather. It has been such a gorgious spring. I hope you all are also. Gods creation for us is so amazing! When traveling up to where my sister lives last night, they have lots of farm land and open spaces. It is so pretty to drive to her house. I love the drive. I was thinking about how God did such a great job with our place we live in. I think often of his amazing works and how much of a genius our Lord really is. We are all blessed to live in such a glorious place. Taking the time to really look at everything around you, it truly is such a blessing.
Have a great week everyone.

Happy Mother's Day
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day today. I did. I chose to relax at home most of the day. I watched tv and read on my patio. My husband and my mom had to work today. I felt bad for my mom having to work on Mother's Day. I called her at 7 PM tonight when she got home from work. She was happy I called and we talked for awhile. My mom and I are planning to spend the day together on Wednesday May 13th since we both have the day off. I look forward to that.
Tom went to his mom's after he got off work today. We got her 2 hanging baskets, some tomato plants for her garden, some stakes for her garden plants, some garden seeds, and two big bags of Miracle Grow Garden Soil that she wanted. She always has such a huge garden every year. We gave her the seeds a few weeks ago when she planted her garden. She wanted some cherry tomato plants (my mother-in-law calls them timmy toes,ha) that she didn't have, so we got those to add to the garden. She was happy to get everything.
My mom is a huge NASCAR FAN and she requested a "digger cam" T-Shirt. I bought it online and I gave it to her a few weeks ago. She has been wanting a fire pit but they are too expensive so she will have to wait till Christmas or sometime when my sister and I can get it together. I ended up giving her our old firepit because Tom and I bought a bigger and nicer one. I also got her a card with scratch off tickets in it. She loves scratch offs.
My mom was telling me that my Grandma was sad because only one of her sons (out of 5 kids) showed up today to wish her a Happy Mother's Day. She understood about my mom not coming since she had to work, but I am not sure about the other kids. I feel bad for her. That is terrible. I will have to go see her and cheer her up.
My husband took me out to eat for Mother's Day and I bought some books I wanted that came out on paperback. He said that he was going to take me to pick out something in the store, but I told him no I didn't need anything. I just wanted those books. I was cheap this time,ha.
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. It sure was a beautiful day today. The weather was perfect. Talk to you soon.

update on biopsy
I wanted to update you on my biopsy that came back finally. Everything was normal. Thank God. Now my only problem is that I am still having the terrible pain in my lower right abdomen and after all these tests we still don't know why I am having this pain. Drives me crazy when a doctor can't figure out what is wrong with you and all I have to show for it - no answers! Just bills!
I about died when I received the ultrasound bill from the Ohio Health Riverside Methodist Hospital. The total for the mammogram and my two ultrasounds they did was $1503.00. The insurance only covered $603.24 and my bill on what we owe is $899.75! WHAT??!!
The Ohio Health is in our network for the insurance, but they are saying that it is out-of-network and I know that it is in network. We have went to Grady Hospital in Delaware and it is part of the Ohio Health and it is a hospital that is covered under our insurance, so I am very confused. I need to call the insurance company and get to the bottom of this because I am not paying a $900.00 dollar bill for having NO ANSWERS. Makes me sick to think of it,ha.
Anyways, I will go for a follow-up visit with my OBGYN and see what she wants to do for the pain. She said something about muscle relaxers and something else. I won't have to take them everyday because I don't have the pain everyday. It is the worst when I am on my mentrual cycle (which is 2 and sometimes 3 times a month!) and when I lift alot or do house work all day or work in the yard a long time,ha. Ok, I have the pain alot of the time. Hopefully the medicine will help.
Oh, and by the way, I still have not checked on the lap band weight loss surgery. There is a rumor going around Tom's work that his insurance is changing AGAIN and then I will have to wait to call the new insurance. I will keep you up to date.
Well, gotta go. Need to go pick out Mother's Days gifts tonight for Mother's Day tomorrow. I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day.

Penelope Rose
My week started off really bad. My babysitting kids show up as usual and Penni (the baby - now almost 1 year old) is riding around in her walker and she is as happy as can be like always. There was no warning for me at all what so ever. She just keeps going in her walker, laughing out loud, making her cute little sounds, and then I smell it. She had a poppy diaper. No big deal, just change it like I normally do. Wrong! It was up her back, down her legs, all over the walker pad, and on my carpet! I had just checked her 10 minutes before this and there was nothing. I could not believe it. Gross, yuck!
So I carry her over to the changing thing on her pack 'n play and get her all cleaned up. She had a beautiful dress on that day and had it all over her dress. After I wiped her off I then wipe her off with those germ killing wet ones,ha. Then I have to clean the walker and shampoo the carpet where the accident dripped down on the carpet. Sammi (Penni's sister) is wanting to run around on the carpet and continue to play and I look at her and told her not to move off the couch until I had it all cleaned up. Penni is in her pack 'n play until I get it cleaned up. ha.
After it is all said and done it is 12:30 PM and I am exhausted by this time. Thank God it was close to nap time. Lunch was delayed until I took time to take a shower because I had it all over my arms and my nightgown since I picked Penni up to take her over to the changing table.
I finally feed the kids (Penni fell asleep while I was shampooing the carpet, that is why I hurried up and got in the shower while she took a nap). I wash Penni's dress and the walker pad Penni sits in. Then we all sit down and collapse or at least Sammi and I did for a bit. Sammi ended up falling asleep for her nap at this time. Boy! What a day! I hope there is not a whole lot of days like that in my future. ha.
I told Jennifer about it (Penni's mommy) and she told me that Penni ate 1/2 a cheeseburger and a small fry the night before. So I am sure that had something to do with it,ha. Penni is just now starting to eat real food and not just baby food.
Wow, what a start to my week (It happened on Monday May 4th) of this past week. Thank God my whole week was not like that,ha. Just had to share. I thought you would get a good laugh with this blog,ha.

80's in April - WOW!
Wow! How about the weekend we just had? Was is gorgious or what? I was outside all weekend long. I pulled weeds out of the flower beds and trimmed up bushes to start off. Then I planted one whole side of the house. We had a flower bed put in on the side of our house last fall. I planted the bushes and stuff we wanted over in that bed over the weekend. I planted 2 crimson red azalia bushes, 2 blue hydrangea bushes, 2 butterfly bushes, 2 hostas and a blue spruce dwarf tree that only has a top to it (my idea!) and it looks great! Noone else in the neighborhood has one and I wanted to be different. I also planted two rose bushes in the back of the house. We still need to get some kind of tree to plant in front of our kitchen window on the side of the house. I want to get a tree that does not have a bad rooting system on it and it has to be a tree that does not get very big.
Tom and I have lived in our home for 5 1/2 years now and we are just now getting all of our landscaping done FINALLY,ha. It sure takes time. You have to keep saving every year to do it year by year. The side of the house that I just planted this past weekend was the last bed to do! Now, we just sit back and enjoy it!
I have to tell you what happened when I planted one of the bushes. I did not know it, but I must have hit an ant hill when digging a hole for the bush. I did not see the ants (they were really tiny ants and they blended in with the dirt). After digging the hole, I got down to put the bush in the ground and all of a sudden I was feeling these little pricks of pain all over me! It was the ants! Those little - tiny ants were biting me! I was slapping them off me like mad. I could not believe it. They were everywhere. I finally got them all off me and thought I was ok then I felt another bite and there was some in my shirt on my chest. It was the craziest thing. I did not know that ants that tiny could be so painful. I was not expecting them to bite me like that. I have heard that there are red ants that do that, but I never knew any other ants could bite and I never knew that they could build ant farms/homes like that in your mulch! I will be sure to look really close the next time before I get down to put any plants in the ground!
Well, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
Thanks for listening friends.

constant struggle with my weight
I know that I have not been in touch with you all in awhile about my weight loss. Well, unfortunately it has stopped,ha. I was doing so well, but just couldn't keep it up.
For one it was too expensive. The shakes were $110.00 dollars a week! I even started eating a meal at supper time to get rid of one shake a day and it still was going to cost me $82.50 a week for the shakes. Just couldn't do it anymore.
I need to look for a different way to go! I am going to call my insurance and ask them about the lapband surgery. I have heard great news about this surgery from ones who have had it done. There is only a cut in your belly button and no cutting on the inside from what I understand. I need to do something before I die! My husband needs to do it too. I hope we will be able to do it together.
I have struggled with my weight my whole life. It is a constant battle. I went to counseling for it in my teen years because I was Bulimic. I found myself starting to do the vomiting again (a few times) while on these shakes when I did eat and I knew right away that it was not the way for me to go no matter how much I need to loose weight. Lord, give me the will power! I need to find a way for this to happen once and for all.

Baby Girls Gone Too Soon
I was walking my dog the other night. It was very late like around 12:30 when I was walking my dog. I am a night owl. Come to find out my neighbor is also a night owl. He was out with his dog as well. He said he had been meaning to talk to me because he heard that my husband and I had lost a daughter. He starting asking me about our situation and what happened and he then told me he had lost a baby girl as well with his ex-wife (he is re-married to my neighbor across the street now). He said that his wife was full term and it was time to deliver the baby and there was no heartbeat. They delivered their baby girl in his arms and she couldn't even cry for them. I felt so bad for him. He said their baby was buried over where our baby is in the same area.
It is so strange how some things happen to come about. He must have needed to talk about it because we talked a little while. It must have been meant for us to run in to each other that night (early morning). It just goes to show you that no matter how depressed and lonely you feel, there is someone out there that feels the same way you do. My neighbor and I just happened to run in to each other that night and I believe that we both must have needed to talk about it. It sure did make my chest feel much lighter afterwards.
No matter how much pain you feel. I always have to keep it in the back of my mind, that there are always others out there even lots more worse off then yourself or they have the same hurts as you do.
It is so hard to live with the "void" but I need to remember that others are going through the same thing. My neighbor happens to be one of them.
I need to remember to keep the strenghth, it is so hard.
Thanks for listening!

abdominal pain
I have had to go and have some tests done with some pain I have been having in my lower right abdomen. The only thing they have done so far is a ultrasound internally and externally. Those came back normal. The next thing is some blood work and on Wed. of next week I will have a biopsy done. I hope they find the cause of the pain, but hope it is not something bad. I break-out if I take advil, motrin, asperin, or aleve and it is hard to deal with this pain when I can't take nothing for it. At times it is so bad I double over and can't stand up straight. The doctor said it sounded like my right fallopian tube. It could be a cyst. She is not sure, so that is why the tests will be done. I will let you all know how it goes and what the results are.
Oh, and for us girls. I had to go get my first mammogram done and you hear all kinds of things before you go, like they squeeze the crap out of your breasts and it puts alot of pressure on them and so forth. Well now since I've had it done, I can tell those of you who have not had it done yet that it is not bad at all. I felt a little pressure once but that was it. It is no big deal at all. I guess you know your getting old when you have to have a mammogram done since your first one is done around age 40. They said that if breast cancer runs in your family that you will have to get it done earlier like age 35. I guess it is part of being a woman. We better get use to it, because we have to do it every year! I ask you, WHY us women.
I will keep you updated to let you know what the doctor said.

We better get use to it, because we have to do it every year! I ask you, WHY us women.
I will keep you updated to let you know what the doctor said.
HIVES BREAK OUTS
Over the Easter Weekend I broke out with hives yet AGAIN. I had them really bad all over my body. I have been breaking out with hives off and on for 4 years now. My whole back felt like it was on fire and it felt like I had a sunburn. They were welted up and huge. Unfortunately our weekend was cut short because of the hives. I pray this is not a sign of how my summer is going to be. Please pray for me. Thanks so much.
I don't know about you all, but I am sick of this rain this week! I am looking forward to the end of the week and the weekend since it is suppose to be really nice and sunny. I look forward to doing some work in the yard and flower beds. It will be the perfect temp. for working in the yard. Once it gets hot I don't enjoy it so much,ha.
I look forward to seeing my nephew and niece tomorrow. They live about an hour away and I don't get to see them too often. My nephew is having a track meet in the town where I live Wednesday. I hope the rain will not ruin it for them. Hopefully it will not be cancelled.

Easter/Spring
I love the spring. The smell in the air. The spring flowers. Easter. I still have not planted bulbs in the fall to come up in the spring. We have lived in our home for 5 years now and I still need to do it. I miss it every spring and regret that I didn't plant bulbs in the fall. I think I am going to buy some of those tulips in pots that I have been seeing everywhere when I go shopping. My question would be if I do plant them, do they come back every year or is it just the bulbs in the fall planted that come up every year. This may seem like a stupid question, but I honestly don't know,ha. I am assuming they would come up every year. I am going to try it anyway.
I bought some beautiful Holland Bulbs at a nursery a few years ago to plant at my daughter's grave and they came up the first year only. They were the most beautiful, biggest, colorful tulips I have ever seen. Come to find out the deer love tulips and eat them every year now before I even get a chance to see them bloom. Lucky for me, I have a picture of the tulips the first year they came up. I would recommend Holland Bulbs to anyone. You would not believe the difference in the size of these tulips.
Among other things to enjoy with spring coming in is our patio. We love our patio. We bought a patio heavy metal (600 lbs.) gazebo a couple of years ago for our patio and put really nice furniture inside and we just love to sit out on our patio now. We also have a very nice fire pit that we enjoy often in the evenings. We just recently bought bamboo blinds for the window screen areas for more privacy and it gave the gazebo a whole new look as well. I could live on my patio and usually do most of the time when the weather is nice.
This is my favorite time of year. I just love to plant flowers around the house and in pots. I never can wait for Memorial Weekend to get started. I wait so the frost scares are over. the first year we moved into our home I planted too early and kept having to go out and cover all the flowers up until the frost scares past. It was a pain in the butt! I will never do that again!
Easter is one of my favorite holidays along with The Fourth of July. I love the whole feel of these holidays. I hope everyone has a blessed Easter weekend. I love you all.
If my little girl was here I would spoil her for sure! I would love to see her running around in a beautiful ruffled dress. I picture this every year and just know she is running around in heaven looking for those easter eggs.
Holidays are a different feeling then most have for my husband and I since our baby girl is not with us. There is just that "void" that you feel more then other times of the year. We are bad about enjoying the holidays to the fullest. For us though, we just like to get away. We love our families, but we just sometimes need that time to get away and we don't want to face the holiday with the "void" we feel. So, we are away this weekend just enjoying each other and a rare weekend off that my husband gets. We have our dog Pascal with us and he just loves to go away with us. He loves going BYE BYE! Pascal just now had his 3rd birthday on March 25th. He is rotten as ever. He is our baby. We also have a cat Sheba that I could not live without. He came into our lives a few months before our dauther Faith died and I just know he was sent to us. Both of our pets were. I can't imagine our lives without them.
Many blessings to all my family and friends. We love you all bunches. Happy Easter. Enjoy your weekend!
